Shine On Solo

Here's my recording of the Shine On You Crazy Diamond solo using Gavin's Gilmour tone with the Chorus turned off. I used the Variax 500 T-Model position 5 with the volume rolled off a bit.

Funk/Disco Sound

Owen Jackson requested a Chic/Rose Royce type guitar sound on the Line 6 Forum. Here is one I use for these types of songs. Use the Stomp and Mod to "funk it up" a little. See the video for a sample. I used the Variax Lester Position3 which is a Les Paul middle position.

POD XT X3 Comparison Clips

I was convinced that the Diamondplate on the X3 was better than that on the PODxt Live. IMO the sound samples in this comparison show the X3 sounds better, but not as much of a difference as I thought!

I was also convinced that the X3 Diamondplate responded much better to rolling back the volume on the guitar. Again, the mp3's show not as big a difference as my ears led me to believe.

The patch was created on the POD X3 with only the amp model and a tiny bit of noise reduction. I then duplicated the patch exactly on the POD XT Live.

The sound sample clips were recorded direct to Sonar via USB.

Two Stomps At Once With PODX3?

Although not the same as running the two chains in series, you can get two stomp, mod or any other PODx3 effects at the same time. I made a patch, then loaded the same patch as Tone2. Then I put the Seismik Synth stomp on tone 1 and the auto wah on tone 2.
