POD X3 LIVE advanced 4 cables method

Here is my new on the famous 4 cables method + advanced micking and post processing in live stage

I' ve studied this  thing  because I'm tired of all technicians that destroy a sound that took me hours to setup.

Also I would gain the best from my hardware .

here it is !

Since Pod X3 has TWO separate TONE, let's figure out how to use both o them in a different way.

first connect your guitar to POD's guitar imput.

connect POD's aux send to guitar IN of your amp ( lower the volume of this send! )

connect your amp's Send OUT to POD's Aux Return

finally connect POD's Left Live Out to your AMP RETURN ( configure LIVE OUT as COMBO PWR or Stack PWR )  .

This is the standard 4 cables method.

NOW THE TRICK !  MUTE TONE 1 POD's  MAIN OUT

ADVANCED :

PLACE a MIC in front of your amp and hook it to POD's MIC inc

configure tone 2 with mic input .( trim it )

enable dual tone .

disable all AMP, Stomp etc in your TONE2 but leave COMP, DELAY & REV

IMPORTANT !: MUTE TONE 2 In LIVE OUT .

NOW.. you can have all the flavours .

1) POD's original tone ( amp modelling )through main out ( your amp as monitor)

enable only tone 1 and unmute it in main outs ( mute tone2 )

2) POD's effects , your amp's tube preamp ( disable amp , enable cabinet )

enable only tone 1 and unmute it in main outs (mute tone 2)

3) Pod's Effects, your tube preamp ( disable amp in pod), Your tube power amp and your cabint ( disable cabinet in POD ), All captured via MIC and processed by TONE 2 adding COMP, Stereo delay And true stereo reverb , through POD's Main OUt.

4) POD's effects, POD's Preamp ( disable fx loop ) your power Amp and your cabinet and feed it to Tone 2 via MIC ( with COMP , stereo REV , stereo Delay)

If you don't understand what I'm saying probably It's because you don't need it.

If you are interested but you didn't undestand what I say It's because I'm So poor in English . I'm Italian.

Maybe someone will help my explain it in a better English

:)  bye
