Hmmm, Gt10+Marshall

No..........

Been trying to get the Gt10 to midi control the channel changing of my JVM Marshall?

Gotta say the XtLive is streets ahead in this department!

After succesfully obtaining a clean, and crunch sound, I moved onto the classic rock rhythm sound, tad more gain, and a little louder.

Gawd what a horrible sound it produced, the Gt10 forums are awash with threads about something termed the 'Cocked wah syndrome' this is a sound that the unit sometimes produces...unintentionally, of a wah on and cocked in a half open position, at times cool, (Michael Schenker was known for it) but not all the time, now I had come across it only occassionally and generally found a bit of eq sorted it...until now!

Now when you consider I'm using no amp simulation at all, and there were no effects at all just the sound of my Marshall something was seriously amiss.

I've read as much info on the subject as I can but to be honest the Gt10 is so overly complicated, with so many variables any advice given is then contradicted a few threads on!Yell

So the Gt10 is now solely for use in the duo, while the XtLive is now my chief channel changer and effects board for the Marshall!Cool
