Hello All,

My name is JD. I am very happy to have found this site. I have the podx3. I have heard absolutely brilliant tones come out of the podx3 (just not mine )

When I found this site, I saw KC's video for the pink floyd solo......OMG!!!!!!
Sounds amazing man.

I have been looking around the internet to try and work on finding tone for my pod. I think that that pod is so tweakable that I tweak mine into submission, and then I hate what I come up with. I know it is because I have no clue what I am doing.

I can navigate around the pod no problem at all. My gearbox and monkey work fine. May be I just don't understand sound as well as I thought I did?

What really frustrates me is that I have a Line 6 SpiderValve (Bogner) and the tone just drips. I love it. (Tube I know), but I have also heard brilliant things come out of the x3 as well. Just seems I can't get to them.
This is a problem because I record with the x3 because it would be too loud for me to mic the amp here.

My music style ranges to anything from Raging Metal, to the softest ballad, so I am trying to figure out some preset tones for this stuff.

I have a 7 string IbanezRG series, a Jackson Dinky (Active EMG's), and a Fender Strat (with the bridge pickup replaced with a Seymour Duncan Hotrail).

Again, I am very happy to have found a new home here. You guys' stuff sounds excellent. Thank you for the site, and the vent session I can't wait to start talking to you all.
