I can successfully use the 'bookmarks' tab below my mp3 files to send links to 'specific files' from YGP to people on Facebook.

But I don't know how to send or post a link to a specific file in an e-mail, or on a forum. I can only link to my folder with all my mp3 files. Do I need to make a separate folder for each link Question I must be doing something wrong..

Hi Stumpsout,

You need to copy the url from the top of the YGP Audio Player window that opens when you play the file. Then just paste it into an email or forum post.

When you paste it should look something like this:
http: //www. yourguitarplace. com/sites/file_play.php?fid=xxx&user=xx

I know it's a pain, but the file location and name are kept a secret as a security against hackers.

Idea When I get a chance I'll make a 'Link To This File' option which will popup with the url to the file which you can copy... (As soon as I figure out how to do that! Confused )

KC

thanks KC.

I'm using Firefox and it worked like this;

I still couldn't copy the link from on top of the player, so what I had to do was bookmark that link (on top of the player) in my browser, and then select it from my bookmarks in my browser. Then, I could copy the URL and paste it.

It works!

Ah, I see. In Firefox right click on a blank area of the player, then select 'View Page Info' from the menu. You'll see the 'Address' at the top of the screen. May save you a step??

Yes, just finished that. Only did limited testing. Let me know if you have any problems with the links.

Thanks!
